YOU WILL RISE AGAIN

YOU WILL RISE AGAIN – A WORD TO THOSE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY

YOU WILL RISE AGAIN – A WORD TO THOSE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re either in a tight financial season or standing close to someone who is. You’ve probably prayed, fasted, applied for jobs, sent out proposals, and even tried starting something on the side — but nothing seems to be moving fast enough.

You may be discouraged, feeling overlooked by God, and wondering how long this wilderness season will last. Let me begin with this truth: you are not alone, and you are not forgotten.

Every great man or woman who ever walked with God went through seasons of testing. Financial struggles are not a sign that you’re cursed. They may be the very proof that you’re being processed for something greater.

1. Your Financial Struggle Is Not the Final Chapter

This is not how your story ends. Where you are right now is only a page in the book of your destiny. God is not finished with you. He is building something in you—resilience, wisdom, faith, and creativity.

“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”Job 8:7 (KJV)

Even if it looks like your peers have gone far ahead of you, remember this: life is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong (Ecclesiastes 9:11). Your time is coming.

2. Refuse to Let Shame Keep You Down

One of the biggest lies poverty tells you is that you are less than others. That you’re not good enough. That you should hide your face. But hear me clearly: shame is not your portion.

David was once in a cave. Ruth was once picking leftovers. Joseph was once in prison. But the same God who lifted them is still on the throne.

Do not let pride stop you from doing what you need to do to rise. No job is too small. No beginning is too humble. The most successful people today have stories of cleaning offices, selling bread, running errands — whatever it took to move forward. If it puts food on the table and honours God, do it with your head held high.

3. There’s Oil in Your House — Use It

One of the most powerful stories in the Bible is found in 2 Kings 4:1–7. A widow was in debt. Creditors were coming to take her sons. She ran to Elisha. He asked her, “What do you have in your house?” She said, “Nothing, except a pot of oil.”

That “nothing” was the key to her financial miracle.

What do YOU have in your hands today? A skill? A recipe? A voice? Creativity? A degree? Time? A smartphone?
Use it. Monetize it. Build with it. Sow it.

Don’t sit and wait for a big break. Break the little you have — like the five loaves and two fish — and let God multiply it.

4. Change the Way You Speak About Your Finances

Words carry spiritual power. Words are seeds. If you keep saying, “I’m broke,” “I’m poor,” “Things are hard,” then you’re sowing negativity into your future.

Say this instead:
My hands are blessed.
I will lend to nations and not borrow.
I attract opportunities.
I walk in divine provision.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

Let your mouth agree with your prayers. Let your confession align with your destiny.

5. Don’t Just Pray — Partner with God Through Action

Prayer is powerful. But faith without works is dead (James 2:17). Don’t just fast and sit. Fast and take action. If you must go back to school, do it. If you must learn a trade, learn it. If you need to start a business, start. If you have to apply for 100 jobs, apply.

The miracle of Peter’s net-breaking catch in Luke 5 didn’t happen on the shore. It happened when he launched out. There is a blessing tied to your motion.

“The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto…”Deuteronomy 28:8 (KJV)

6. Guard Your Environment and Relationships

Be mindful of who you surround yourself with in this season. Avoid people who only complain, gossip, or glorify defeat. Surround yourself with people who believe in possibilities, who speak life, who challenge you to grow.

Remember: your associations will either stretch your faith or kill your fire.

7. God Is Still Jehovah Jireh — Your Provider

He provided manna in the wilderness. He brought water out of a rock. He sent ravens to feed Elijah. He turned five loaves into food for thousands. This same God is still in the business of supernatural provision.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:19 (KJV)

Don’t put your hope in systems. Don’t put your hope in connections. Put your hope in the God who never fails.

Final Charge:

This financial struggle will not break you. It will build you. It will teach you discipline. It will unlock ideas. It will birth wisdom. It will increase your sensitivity to God.

Don’t waste this season. Use it. Grow in it. Cry if you must, but get up afterward. God does His best work in people who are at their lowest.

You are not empty. You are not unlucky. You are not forgotten. You are in transition. And if you keep trusting God, obeying divine instructions, and moving by faith, you will soon step into abundance.

Your story will inspire many.
Your testimony will shock your enemies.
Your breakthrough will silence every mocker.
